LOS ANGELES, Jan. 1 (UPI) -- A character who appeared in Season 1 of Breaking Bad will guest star in Season 2 of the show's prequel series Better Call Saul.

Vince Gilligan hinted at the casting to Cinemablend, but declined to offer many details about it.

"We revisit a character we met early in Season 1 of Breaking Bad and haven't seen since. It's going to be a fun tip of the hat," Gilligan said.

Starring Bob Odenkirk, Better Call Saul is an origin story for the lawyer prominently featured in Breaking Bad. Odenkirk's co-star Jonathan Banks also reprises his Breaking Bad role of Mike Ehrmantraut in the prequel series. Season 2 is to premiere Feb. 15 on AMC.
