The teaser features the show's opening theme song by Angelo Badalamenti and returning actor Michael Horse. The 63-year-old star, who plays Deputy Tommy "Hawk" Hill, muses on the importance of location as footage from the Pacific Northwest runs.

"Location sometimes becomes a character... can't put my finger on how I would describe it. It just touches something in the psyche. It's almost like being in a moving painting," Horse says before an abrupt cutaway.

Twin Peaks had a two-season run on ABC from 1990 to 1991, and inspired the 1992 movie Twin Peaks: Fire Walk with Me. Kyle MacLachlan will reprise Agent Dale Cooper for the revival, which promises "long-awaited answers" and a "satisfying conclusion."
