SEATTLE, Nov. 11 (UPI) -- Anjelica Huston and Cherry Jones have been booked as guest stars for Season 2 of the celebrated dramedy Transparent, which features Jeffrey Tambor playing a transgender woman, Amazon announced.

Other celebrities expected to make appearances on the half-hour show this season are Kathryn Hahn, Rob Huebel, Carrie Brownstein, Alexandra Billings, Tig Notaro, Alex MacNicoll and Trace Lysette.

Returning will be series regulars Tambor, Judith Light, Amy Landecker, Jay Duplass, Gaby Hoffmann, Bradley Whitford, Melora Hardin, Michaela Watkins and Emily Robinson.

The sophomore season is to premiere Dec. 11 via the company's Prime Video streaming service.

"Season 2 is wild! Now that the bubble wrap is off, it's time for the whole family to transition," Jill Soloway, the Emmy Award-winning creator of Transparent, said in a statement. "Our Pfeffermans realize they must give up their disguises, unspoken arrangements and secrets. By exploring their shared history and legacy, they come to understand that you can't go forward without knowing where you come from. Ultimately, everyone will open their hearts, advertise their desires, and test those notoriously wobbly boundaries as each Pfefferman tries their hardest to come out -- as themselves."

Transparent already has been renewed for a third season, which is to air in 2016.
