NEW YORK, Nov. 4 (UPI) -- Alanis Morissette recently performed a special version of her hit song "Ironic."

The 41-year-old Canadian-American singer, two-time Grammy nominee Meghan Trainor and The Tonight Show host Jimmy Fallon clucked the entire tune on Tuesday's episode.

Morissette, Trainor and Fallon wore chicken suits on stage, and performed a variety of poultry-inspired sounds in lieu of the lyrics. The impromptu supergroup deemed themselves the Jagged Little Chicks, a play on Morissette's album Jagged Little Pill.

"Ironic" was the third single released from Jagged Little Pill, which debuted in June 1995. The record topped the Billboard 200 and won Morissette five Grammys, including Album of the Year and Best Rock Album, at the 1996 Grammy Awards.

Morissette last released Havoc and Bright Lights in August 2012, which includes the singles "Guardian" and "Lens." Trainor's major-release debut studio album, Title, dropped in January and includes the singles "All About That Bass" and "Lips Are Movin."
