NEW YORK, Oct. 30 (UPI) -- Bethenny Frankel will appear on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills season 6.

The 44-year-old Real Housewives of New York City star revealed as much to E! News at the Breast Cancer Research Foundation luncheon Thursday in New York.

"I've known [Beverly Hills star] Kyle [Richards] for years," Frankel said. "I used to work for [her half-sister] Kathy Hilton and take [her nieces] Paris and Nicky [Hilton] to school."

"She was coming into town so I got together with her in the Hamptons," she revealed. "All very natural, but you know she happens to be on The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills and I got to meet all her friends."

"I really enjoyed shooting with the Beverly Hills cast," she added. "I felt like I was really part of their cast for a small minute. I had some preconceived notions, and I really liked talking to them ... I think there was a little drama and of course I was right in the middle of it."

Frankel has starred on The Real Housewives of New York for four seasons, and is expected to return for season 8. Heather Thomson will not appear on the new season, and Kristen Taekman announced this week she will also depart the series.

"My experience during my time on RHONY was fantastic and I made some great new friends," Taekman said in a statement. "At this time in my life, I have decided to concentrate on my family and my new business ventures."

The Real Housewives of Beverly Hills will return for a sixth season with Richards, Lisa Vanderpump, Yolanda Foster, Lisa Rinna and Eileen Davidson in 2016. Brandi Glanville will reportedly also appear, despite comparing the show to an "abusive boyfriend."
