NEW YORK, Oct. 10 (UPI) -- Limitless executive producer Bradley Cooper is to reprise his guest role as Sen. Edward Morra in the show's Oct. 27 episode.

The news was announced Friday by another executive producer, Craig Sweeny, at the series' New York Comic Con panel.

Cooper appeared in the sci-fi drama's premiere as the politician who provided Jake McDorman's Brian Finch character "with a temporary inoculation from the severe side effects of the brain-enhancing drug NZT, and hinted he had future plans for Brian," a press release said. "In the upcoming episode, as Brian's physical and mental health begin to deteriorate again, Morra demands a high price in exchange for another inoculation."

Cooper, 40, originated the character of Edward "Eddie" Morra in the 2011 movie version of Limitless. In the film, Morra was a struggling writer who unlocks his brain's full potential when he takes NZT.
