Christopher Lee movie marathon to air on Turner Classic Movies June 22

LOS ANGELES, June 13 (UPI) -- Turner Classic Movies has announced plans to air a marathon June 22, featuring some of the best-known films of the late screen great Christopher Lee.

The cable television network said it will celebrate the life and career of the acclaimed British actor "whose haunting, intimidating performances as Count Dracula, the Frankenstein monster and Fu Manchu made him an icon of horror films."

The TCM Remembers Christopher Lee programming block will include airings of The Mummy, The Curse of Frankenstein, Horror of Dracula, Dracula, Prince of Darkness, Dracula Has Risen From the Grave, Horror Express, The Three Musketeers and The Four Musketeers.

Lee died June 11 at the age of 93. His long and distinguished career included 275 credits, including the Lord of the Rings and Hobbit blockbusters.
