CBS' 2015-16 slate includes 'Rush Hour,' 'Limitless' adaptations and a 'Criminal Minds' spinoff

NEW YORK, May 13 (UPI) -- Small-screen adaptations of the films Limitless, Rush Hour and Supergirl are among the seven new scripted series CBS has ordered for the 2015-16 television season.

The network said Wednesday it will also air the hospital drama Code Black, the Jane Lynch-led sitcom Angel from Hell and Criminal Minds: Beyond Borders, a Criminal Minds spinoff starring Gary Sinise.

On the docket as well is Life in Pieces, an ensemble family dramedy featuring Dianne Wiest, James Brolin, Zoe Lister Jones, Colin Hanks, Angelique Cabral, Thomas Sadoski, Betsy Brandt and Dan Bakkedahl.

CBS additionally revealed it has set a premiere date for the previously announced The Late Show with Stephen Colbert. The program is to debut Sept. 8.
