NEW YORK, May 10 (UPI) -- British actor Brendan Coyle says he hasn't had the chance yet to reflect on his years at Downton Abbey because he is still working on the sixth and final season of the cherished costume drama.

"It was just a really, really joyous bunch of people and I really, really loved working with them and, also, there's this sense of security that we've had over the last few years, which you don't really get a lot in our business," Coyle told UPI in a recent phone interview.

"So, I'm going to miss, first and foremost, the human beings... Our crew has been consistent and they are amazing. A couple of cast members have come and gone, but the ones that come in and the ones that I work with regularly are an absolute joy. I work with Joanne Froggatt, who plays my wife, and it is sublime," he explained. "And Hugh Bonneville and just the gang. We've already started to do press and people are saying, 'So, are you missing it?' And I say, 'I've still got three months on it.' I'll miss it in a couple of years, no doubt about that, but I'm actually not that nostalgic. I'm not THAT sentimental. Because I've done some great jobs and what the great thing is is that you look back and you go: 'God, that play I did two years ago, how powerful, wonderful that was. What a great feeling!' So, you just have that moment of gratitude. Downton Abbey will always be this beautiful, gift-wrapped present in my mind I will open now and again and go, 'Oh, that was lovely!'"

Coyle can now be seen on the big screen in Noble, a biopic about children's rights crusader and humanitarian worker Christina Noble. Written and directed by Stephen Bradley, it stars Deirdre O'Kane as the titular heroine.
