BURBANK, Calif., April 22 (UPI) -- Netflix has confirmed Marvel's Daredevil will return with fresh episodes in 2016. Doug Petrie and Marco Ramirez, who worked closely with Steven DeKnight and Drew Goddard on the first season of the small-screen, comic-book adaptation, have been named as showrunners for Season 2.

Ramirez, Petrie, Goddard and Jeph Loeb will serve as executive producers on the streaming series. "Blinded as a young boy, but imbued with extraordinary senses, Matt Murdock [played by Charlie Cox] fights against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the superhero 'Daredevil' in modern-day Hell's Kitchen, New York City," a synopsis said.
