LOS ANGELES, April 15 (UPI) -- Emmy Award-winning actor Jon Cryer has reprised his iconic Duckie character from the 1986 romantic comedy Pretty in Pink on The Late Late Show with James Corden.

Both Cryer and Corden donned the character's signature gold, plaid jacket and dirty, white dress shoes, then danced and lip synced to Otis Redding's song, "Try a Little Tenderness," around a set designed to look like the record shop from the movie.

In the John Hughes-penned film, Duckie is in love with his lifelong best friend Andie, who, unfortunately, wants to be with the wealthy and popular Blane. Molly Ringwald played Andie and Andrew McCarthy played Blane in the flick, which featured Annie Potts and James Spader in supporting roles.

An elated Corden later tweeted a link to the video clip of his Late Late Show performance with Cryer, who recently wrapped a successful 12-season run on the sitcom Two and a Half Men.

"So tonight I fulfilled a childhood dream with @MrJonCryer #Duckie #DuckieFever #PrettyInPink," his Twitter message said.
