Kerry Washington to play Anita Hill in HBO movie

LOS ANGELES, March 13 (UPI) -- Scandal fixer Kerry Washington is to star as attorney Anita Hill in Confirmation, an HBO movie she will also executive produce.

The Hollywood Reporter said Rick Famuyiwa is in talks to direct the telepicture, but no deal is in place. Susannah Grant is writing the screenplay and executive producing the project.

The movie will be about Hill's testimony of alleged sexual harassment from Clarence Thomas during the 1991 Supreme Court nomination hearings. Thomas was ultimately confirmed and remains a Supreme Court Justice today.
