LOS ANGELES, Feb. 24 (UPI) -- Ally McBeal star Calista Flockhart is returning to television in the forthcoming CBS pilot Supergirl.
The 50-year-old actress is set to star as the main character Melissa Benoist's boss, Cat Grant, according to Deadline.
Supergirl is based in the DC Comics character of the same name, a woman named Kara Zor-El (Benoist), who was born in Krypton, but escaped for Earth amid the planet's destruction. Kara keeps her powers a secret from her cousin Superman until she turns 24 and decides to use them for the greater good.
