NEW YORK, Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Jason Biggs will not return on Orange is the New Black.

The 36-year-old actor has portrayed Larry Bloom since season one, but Netflix confirmed Biggs will not reprise the freelance writer on season three. Bloom is the ex-fiancé of lead character Piper Chapman (Taylor Schilling), and lover to Polly Harper (Maria Dizzia).

"They're not focusing on Larry at the moment," Biggs told New York Daily News theater critic Joe Dziemianowicz. "Larry will not be in season three. But there's always a possibility he can come back."

Biggs is best known for portraying Jim Levenstein in the American Pie films, and recently voiced Leonardo on Nickelodeon animated series Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. The actor will debut with Mad Men actress Elisabeth Moss in Broadway play The Heidi Chronicles next week.
