The CW renews 'Beauty and the Beast' for a fourth season

Starring Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan, the show is to kick off Season 3 May 21.

LOS ANGELES, Feb. 14 (UPI) -- The romantic drama Beauty and the Beast has been renewed for a fourth season to run in 2015-16 on The CW.

Entertainment Weekly reported the renewal Friday.

Starring Kristin Kreuk and Jay Ryan, the show is to kick off Season 3 May 21. It is about the relationship between a New York homicide detective, and a former doctor and soldier whose DNA was mutated in an experimental military program.
