NEW YORK, Feb. 10 (UPI) -- Jamie Dornan performed a special reading of Fifty Shades of Grey on Monday.
The 32-year-old actor and Jimmy Fallon took turns reading passages from the erotic novel in different foreign accents on The Tonight Show. Dornan assumed Scottish, French and County Cork Irish inflections, while Fallon took on Russian, Cowboy and Italian.
Dornan will star as Christian Grey in the film adaptation of the E.L. James book. The story follows the relationship between college student Anastasia (Dakota Johnson) and Christian, a businessman with a predilection for BDSM.
Dornan and Johnson previously admitted shooting the movie's numerous sex scenes was a sometimes awkward experience. The actress did reveal her favorite scene to Access Hollywood over the weekend, saying she was happy with the depiction of Ana losing her virginity to Christian.
"The virginity scene is something that is so beautiful," she opined. "And the way that [cinematographer] Seamus [McGarvey] and [director] Sam [Taylor-Johnson] shot that scene, it's really incredible. And the colors! It's so saturated, and then just watching a really profound moment in a young girl's life, I think that was pretty special to do."
Fifty Shades of Grey opens in theaters Friday. Dornan, Johnson and Taylor-Johnson attended a special screening of the movie last week, and reportedly confirmed sequels Fifty Shades Darker and Fifty Shades Freed will be adapted for film.
