Jimmy from 'Seinfeld' fills in as Dr. Kevin Collins on 'General Hospital'

Jon Lindstrom's "General Hospital" role of Dr. Kevin Collins will temporarily be played by actor Anthony Starke while Lindstrom films an appearance on "True Detective."

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 31 (UPI) -- Jon Lindstrom is taking a break from portraying Dr. Kevin Collins on the daytime soap General Hospital so he can play a role in the second season of the primetime drama True Detective.

Soap Opera Digest reported the casting.

Collins will temporarily be played by actor Anthony Starke while Lindstrom is absent. Starke is perhaps best known for playing Jimmy on the TV sitcom Seinfeld.

The report did not say how long Lindstrom will be gone or in how many episodes of True Detective he will appear.
