Nina Arianda joins 'Hannibal' cast for Season 3

PASADENA, Calif., Jan. 21 (UPI) -- Tony Award-winning actress Nina Arianda is joining the Season 3 cast of the psychological thriller series Hannibal, NBC announced on Twitter.

"Time to meet Will's wife, Molly -- Tony Award winner, Nina Arianda," the network tweeted Tuesday.

Will Graham is played by Hugh Dancy, Arianda's co-star from the 2011 production of Broadway's Venus in Fur.

Based on characters created by novelist Thomas Harris, Hannibal features Mads Mikkelsen as the titular psychiatrist and serial killer. Will is the troubled FBI agent charged with bringing him to justice.

The role of Molly Graham was previously played by Mary-Louise Parker in the 2002 film Red Dragon and Kim Greist in the 1986 TV movie Manhunter.

Richard Armitage has also joined the drama's ensemble for next season as Francis Dolarhyde, while Joe Anderson will replace Michael Pitt as Mason Verger.
