Described as "a reimagined tale of the popular teen film," the new telepicture takes place when "a dull evening for two competing babysitters, Jenny and Luci, turns into an adventure in the big city as they hunt for one of the kids who somehow snuck away."

The original movie starred Elisabeth Shue as a teenager who agrees to take a babysitting job after she is stood up for a date, then ends up dragging a little girl, her older brother and his best friend through the streets of Chicago at night -- with no money and a disabled car -- in an effort to pick up her distraught friend. Directed by Chris Columbus, the film co-starred Bradley Whitford, Anthony Rapp, Keith Coogan and Maia Brewton.
