Tristan Rogers to stay on 'The Young and the Restless'

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 5 (UPI) -- Australian actor Tristan Rogers says he has extended his contract and will remain on The Young and the Restless for another year.

"I am at Y&R for another year. Doesn't mean I won't do other stuff. But my mind is there and I want to make it prominent in daytime," Rogers tweeted Sunday.

Rogers, 68, began playing Colin Atkinson on Y&R in 2010.

The soap star also is well-known for his portrayal of Robert Scorpio on General Hospital, a job which began in 1980 and lasted until 1992. He has since returned several times for guest stints on the daytime drama.
