PORT WASHINGTON, Wis., Dec. 29 (UPI) -- Former Saved by the Bell star Dustin Diamond has been released from a Wisconsin jail after his arrest on several knife-related charges stemming from an alleged bar fight.
TMZ reported Diamond finally posted his $10,000 bail, then appeared in court with his girlfriend Monday afternoon.
The Ozaukee County Sheriff's Department confirmed the 37-year-old Port Washington resident was arrested early Friday on charges of recklessly endangering safety, possession of a switchblade knife and carrying a concealed weapon.
Diamond and his girlfriend reportedly had an argument with another couple they accused of taking pictures of them from across the bar. The bar owner has been quoted as saying the confrontation became physical between the two women before the other couple left.
Diamond is best known for playing Samuel "Screech" Powers in the popular 1990s TV series Saved by the Bell.
