Reggie Watts joins 'The Late Late Show with James Corden' as bandleader

Corden succeeds Craig Ferguson, the host of the CBS late-night series for the past 10 years. Ferguson will sign off Friday.

LOS ANGELES, Dec. 14 (UPI) -- Musician and comedian Reggie Watts will serve as the bandleader for The Late Late Show with James Corden, CBS announced.

Also joining the late-night program will be Rob Crabbe as executive producer and writer; Mike Gibbons as co-executive producer and head writer; Sheila Rogers as supervising producer; and Josie Cliff as producer.

The show is to open its production offices Jan. 5 in preparation for the series launch March 23. The new late-night series will tape at CBS Television City in Los Angeles.
