PORTLAND, Ore., Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Teen Mom 2 will continue sans Leah Messer-Calvert.

The 22-year-old reality star came to fame on season two of 16 & Pregnant, and subsequently appeared on five seasons of Teen Mom 2. Messer-Calvert announced she won't return for a sixth season Friday on Twitter, but the show will reportedly go on without her.

"The other girls have signed on and are ready to film a sixth season," a source told Radar Online. "They'll be shooting as usual ... [Messer-Calvert] hasn't told anyone what's really going on [to cause her departure]."

Messer-Calvert has four-year-old twin daughters with ex-husband Corey Simms, and a 22-month-old daughter with husband Jeremy Calvert. A different source told the website the star quit the program in order to improve her image and retain custody of her twins.

Teen Mom 2 is expected to be renewed with remaining cast members Jenelle Evans, Chelsea Houska and Kailyn Lowry-Marroquin. Original Teen Mom stars Maci Bookout, Catelynn Lowell and Amber Portwood are confirmed for a new season in 2015.
