Jason Lee, Michael Imperioli, Brian Dennehy, Leslie Bibb to star in pilots for Amazon

SEATTLE, Nov. 13 (UPI) -- Amazon says it has ordered seven television pilots, including shows starring Leslie Bibb, Brian Dennehy, Rachel Dratch, Michael Imperioli and Jason Lee.

Also on the 2015 slate of potential programs are first episodes featuring Kris Kristofferson, Rufus Sewell and Sam Trammell.

The pilots were created by behind-the-cameras talent such as Frank Spotnitz, Carlton Cuse, Randall Wallace, Ridley Scott, Shawn Ryan, Robin Schiff, Lindsey Stoddart and Alex Gibney.

"Our first pilot season of 2015 brings some of the greatest storytellers in the business to Amazon customers with works of novelty and passion. We're very excited by these shows and look forward to getting customers' reactions next year," Roy Price, vice president of Amazon Studios, said in a statement.

The first pilot season is scheduled to debut early in the new year exclusively on Amazon Instant Video in the United States, the United Kingdom and Germany.

"The seven new pilots premiering early next year will include hourlong shows Cocked from Sam Baum and Sam Shaw; Mad Dogs from Cris Cole and Shawn Ryan; The Man in the High Castle from Frank Spotnitz; and Point of Honor from Carlton Cuse and Randall Wallace," a news release said.

"In addition, three half-hour pilots will debut, including Down Dog from Robin Schiff and Salem Rogers, from newcomer Lindsey Stoddart, as well as The New Yorker Presents, a docuseries pilot produced in cooperation with America's most award-winning magazine. The program will include scripted narrative and documentary segments based on the magazine and is produced by Academy Award-winning filmmaker Alex Gibney's Jigsaw Productions and Conde Nast Entertainment."
