Woody Harrelson to host 'Saturday Night Live' on Nov. 15

The sketch comedy show also tapped Cameron Diaz to headline the Nov. 22 episode.

NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Actor Woody Harrelson is to guest host the Nov. 15 edition of Saturday Night Live in New York, NBC announced Monday.

This will be Harrelson's third go at hosting the sketch comedy show, but his first SNL appearance in more than 20 years. Coming off an Emmy nomination for his work on True Detective, Harrelson next stars in the highly anticipated The Hunger Games: Mockingjay -- Part 1, due in theaters Nov. 21.

Kendrick Lamar will perform as musical guest for the second time the same night Harrelson serves as host.

Cameron Diaz will appear on the show for the fourth time on Nov. 22. The actress and author of the New York Times best-selling The Body Book starred in this year's comedies The Other Woman and Sex Tape. She will be seen playing Miss Hannigan in the upcoming film Annie, set for release Dec. 19.

Mark Ronson teams up with Bruno Mars as SNL's Nov. 22 musical guest after Mars last served as both host and musical guest in 2012. Mars and Ronson collaborate on "Uptown Funk!" which will be released Nov. 10 and is the first single off Ronson's new album.
