Jay Leno to be a guest on 'The Tonight Show'

Leno served as the talk show's emcee for 22 years in Burbank, Calif. Fallon moved "Tonight" to New York when he took over.

NEW YORK, Nov. 3 (UPI) -- Former Tonight Show host Jay Leno has been booked as a guest on the program he handed off earlier this year to his successor Jimmy Fallon, NBC announced Monday.

Leno served as the talk show's emcee for 22 years in Burbank, Calif. Fallon moved Tonight to New York when he took over several months ago.

Leno is to appear as a guest for the first time on the program Friday. He is now working on bringing his popular automotive-themed web series Jay Leno's Garage to CNBC early next year.
