LOS ANGELES, Oct. 17 (UPI) -- Game of Thrones will feature at least one flashback as part of the story line in season five, according to show runners David Benioff and Dan Weiss.

In a Q&A with Spanish film students, the producers admitted there will be scenes from the past. The quote, roughly translated from a Spanish website, was not attributed to a specific producer.

"By making the first season, we set a rule: No prophecies, dreams or flashbacks. We failed the first two and this season the third. So yes, this season will finally have flashbacks."

Entertainment Weekly confirmed there will be at least one flashback and said it will probably serve as the opening scene for the season.

Game of Thrones will return to HBO in the Spring.
