NEW YORK, Sept. 30 (UPI) -- Death Comes to Pemberley, the small-screen adaptation of author P.D. James' Pride and Prejudice sequel, is to air in the United States, starting next month, PBS announced Tuesday.
The two-part program is scheduled for broadcast Oct. 26 and Nov. 2.
"A coach races up to a country house with an hysterical passenger shrieking, 'Murder!' What better way to continue Jane Austen's immortal novel Pride and Prejudice?" PBS said in a news release. "This delicious homage to Austen is adapted from P.D. James' clever whodunit and stars Anna Maxwell Martin, Matthew Rhys, Matthew Goode and Jenna Coleman. Elizabeth and Darcy never knew marriage would be like this."
The early 19th century-set British miniseries first aired on the BBC in the United Kingdom last December.
