NEW YORK, Sept. 10 (UPI) -- Elisabeth Moss has addressed True Detective casting rumors.

The 32-year-old actress is rumored for a lead role on season two of the HBO series, but stayed largely mum when she spoke to Page Six on Monday.

"It's hard to get sick of something that's super-flattering," she admitted. "But they are just rumors. Everyone else knows more about it than I do, apparently! But it's nice to have your name mentioned for anything, especially something so good."

"It's time for a good female part," she allowed.

Moss is no stranger to keeping secrets, having starred as Peggy Olson on AMC drama Mad Men for seven seasons. She and the cast finished filming part two of season seven in June, but the episodes are not scheduled to air until spring 2015. In addition, she recently appeared in The One I Love, a movie with a major plot twist of its own.

"It's nothing unusual," the actress said of keeping the film's secret. "Everyone's like, 'It's so hard not to talk about it!' And I'm like, 'I know the end of Mad Men!'"

"If acting doesn't work out, I'm just going to join the Secret Service," she joked.

Moss is attached to star in a number of new films, including High-Rise, Meadowland and There Are Monsters.

True Detective will return to HBO in 2015.
