LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- Miley Cyrus will perform on the final episode of Chelsea Lately.

The 21-year-old singer will sing a live cover of "It's Over" by Roy Orbison to help send host Chelsea Handler off.

Handler has hosted the late night comedy talk show on E! since 2007, but chose not to renew her contract. The television personality announced her departure in June, and said she would like to focus on human interest stories instead of pop culture topics.

"To be quite honest, I don't really care about Justin Bieber and I don't want to talk about him anymore," she told the Daily Mail. "In order to make that happen I had to just stop doing my show ... It really didn't feel great doing the show and the only way to sort things out was to extricate myself from the entire situation."

Handler has partnered with Netflix on a new talk show for 2016. Cyrus is currently on break from her Bangerz tour, and will resume in Puerto Rico on September 11. The final episode of Chelsea Lately airs August 26 on the E! network.
