LOS ANGELES, July 13 (UPI) -- NBC is considering ordering more episodes of Maya Rudolph's variety show, which premiered May 20.

The Maya Rudolph Show originally aired as a single-episode special after The Voice to mixed reviews.

Apparently, NBC liked the ratings the episode received enough to consider ordering a season or a series of specials of the show.

"It is a show we were really proud of," said Paul Telegdy, NBC president of alternative programming.

NBC Chairman Bob Greenblatt agreed.

"We were very encouraged by the ratings," he said.

The Maya Rudolph Show was produced by Lorne Michaels.
