LOS ANGELES, June 23 (UPI) -- Anna Paquin recently posed nude for Entertainment Weekly.

The 31-year-old actress appears naked alongside a clothed Stephen Moyer on the cover of the magazine's June 27 issue. The real life couple and True Blood co-stars discuss the show's final season in the interview, and open up about Paquin's sex scenes.

The season seven premiere finds Sookie Stackhouse (Paquin) in bed with Alcide Herveaux (Joe Manganiello), and Moyer, who portrays Bill Compton, directed the episode. Other couples might find the arrangement uncomfortable, but Paquin insists, "It's not as awkward as you would think."

"If you were to picture the perfect day at work for your spouse, would that be it?" she posits. "Probably not, but this is just kind of how it's always been. So it doesn't feel as bizarre."

"There are moments where I'll be watching on a monitor [and say], 'Oh, Joe, just move your hand up towards Anna's breast. Good. And can you move your right thumb just a little bit towards her nipple? Great,'" Moyer reveals. "And then I'll go, 'Babe, babe, enjoy it.' I'm certainly talking to her as 'babe.' 'Darling, go for it. Yeah, feel the nipple.'"

"We set the bar very high for weird very early on," Paquin adds. "We've done a lot of odd [expletive] on this show. Actually, the potentially awkward couplings [are] not the weirdest [expletive] that we've done on this show."

Paquin and Moyer met on the set of True Blood, and began dating in 2007. They married in August 2010, and have two children together, twins Charlie and Poppy, born September 2012. The actress concludes of the series, "It's been extraordinary to have that experience what is completely life-changing in all of the best possible ways -- and with the person you want to spend the rest of your life with. We will always have this."

The seventh and final season of True Blood premiered Sunday on HBO.
