HOBOKEN, N.J., June 4 (UPI) -- Cake Boss star Buddy Valastro will soon return to TLC.
The cable channel plans to relaunch his series Bakery Boss as Buddy's Bakery Rescue next month. Bakery Boss aired for one season in 2013.
Buddy's Bakery Rescue continues Valastro's mission to save failing bakeries. The new season features six episodes, and the chef visits bakeries in New York, Delaware, Florida, Texas and Massachusetts.
"TLC is proud of this series and the real contributions it has been making in the lives and livelihoods of the bakers Buddy was able to help transform," TLC general manager Nancy Daniels said in a statement. "By relaunching it with the new title ... we have the change to re-introduce our fans to the series, and capture even more audience during its summer season."
Buddy's Bakery Rescue premieres July 1 on TLC.
