LOS ANGELES, May 20 (UPI) -- Actor Michael Jace has been arrested and booked for homicide.
The 51-year-old, best known for his role as Julien Lowe on The Shield, was detained at his home Monday night after police responded to a 911 call and found his wife dead. April Jace, age 40, had been shot multiple times and died of her wounds.

TMZ reports that Michael called 911 himself and told dispatch, "I shot my wife." The couple's two children are said to have witnessed the crime, and were taken into protective custody after the incident.
Michael was arrested early Tuesday morning, and has been booked on a charge of homicide. He and April had been married for nine years.
