LAS VEGAS, April 30 (UPI) -- History Channel plans to make a Pawn Stars spinoff, Pawnography.

The new series will be a game show set in Las Vegas. Contestants will compete against show stars Rick and Corey Harrison and Chumlee Russell for cash prizes and valuable items from the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawnshop. The trio must "vigorously defend their treasured items from confident and brainy contestants" in increasingly difficult trivia rounds.

"We are thrilled to work with Leftfield Pictures on this exciting and challenging new game show that combines the two elements that make Pawn Stars an absolute fan favorite -- history and the fun, family dynamic between the Harrisons and Chumlee," History programming vice president Frontain Bryant says. "[Pawnography] gives viewers the change to go head-to-head with the man who knows a little bit about everything, Rick Harrison, and take home treasurable items from the World Famous Gold & Silver Pawnshop."

Pawn Stars has been a success since its debut in 2009. The program documents the every day lives of the three men and Rick's father Richard at the Harrison family pawnshop.

History Channel plans to air Pawnography this summer.
