Sources tell E! News that the new episodes will pick up nine years after the finale left off. HBO has not officially confirmed the revival.

Rumor has it show creator Michael Patrick King (Sex & the City) has teamed up with Dan Bucantisky (Scandal, Grey's Anatomy) and Amy B. Harris (Sex & the City, The Carrie Diaries) to write the new episodes. The return to television is said to be temporary, with the possibility of continuation if the episodes do well.
