"Eric shared his final journey with us this morning as all his immediate family were able to be at his side when he passed away," she wrote. "Thank you to all of your love and support and prayers and fasting. It was amazing to be with so many of his friends and family yesterday in the hospital who came to express their love for Eric."

Hill was a potential suitor for the upcoming Bachelorette, Andi Dorfman. According to blogger Reality Steve, the incident did not take place during the show, as he had already been eliminated when it happened.

A post written on Hill's Facebook page Tuesday claimed the reality alum was in "critical condition in a coma."

Hill, a extreme-sports enthusiast, had been on a journey to travel every country in the world in less than 1,200 days, dubbed "The Global Odyssey," since February 2013.
