'Bachelor' alum Melissa Rycroft gives birth to her second child

LOS ANGELES, April 21 (UPI) -- Reality television personality Melissa Rycroft is gushing that her newborn son, Beckett Thomas Strickland, is "perfect and beautiful."

"This little guy has been teasing us about his arrival for the last month so it is only fitting that he surprise us with his arrival on Easter Sunday," Rycroft said in a statement to People magazine.

"He's perfect and beautiful. Ava can’t wait for us to bring him home to be able to show us all of the big sister duties she's been practicing."

Rycroft, 31, is best known for competing on the reality shows The Bachelor and Dancing with the Stars.

She wed Tye Strickland in 2009. Their daughter, Ava, is 3.
