LOS ANGELES, April 17 (UPI) -- Chelsea Handler has taken it upon herself to deny rumors that she will receive a show on CBS.

The 39-year-old comedian and actress appeared on Ellen Wednesday and told DeGeneres flat out that she is not in talks with CBS for her own program.

"I'm not," Handler asserts. "I was in a meeting [with CBS] for something completely different."

Rumors that the comedian would replace Craig Ferguson on CBS's Late Late Show began on Monday after she posted a picture of herself holding CBS paperwork on her Instagram. A network rep denied Wednesday that Handler will receive a late night spot, and the comedian could not agree more.

"I would never go to CBS," she says. "My mouth? What would they do with me there?"

"I would never be on a regular network," Handler continues. "I would never do that to my fans, or to myself, or to the network. I enjoy bad things. I'm a bad girl!"

The comedian currently hosts her own talk show, Chelsea Lately, on E!, but has decided to not renew her contract after an eight-season run.

"I think it's time to move on," Handler says. "I would like to take some time off and then I'll do something else... I don't know what I'll do next. I really have no plan."
