MISSION VIEJO, Calif., Feb. 20 (UPI) -- Reality TV personality and actress Shayne Lamas says she has left the intensive care unit of California's Mission Viejo Hospital after more than a week.

"Thank you for all your thoughts and prayers. I've cried reading the expression of generosity and warmth from everyone," Lamas said in a statement Thursday.

"I'm out of ICU at Mission Viejo Hospital. I cannot thank the medical staff here enough for not giving up on me," she said. "Thank you to my father and his wife, my mother, my sisters, my grandmother and New York family, my husband's family, and to my husband for never leaving my side. Nik, your strength can never be measured. I love you."

Lamas, 28, was 20 weeks pregnant when she collapsed at home Feb. 9, and was rushed to the hospital where she underwent an operation to stop massive internal bleeding. Her unborn son died during the surgery. Lamas was briefly placed in a medically induced coma and suffered cardiac arrest last Friday.

Her husband Nik Richie told TMZ Wednesday he held in his arms and named their baby son a few days after he died. Richie also said he prayed with hospital staff for tiny Rex Jagger Lamas-Richie.
