LOS ANGELES, Jan. 30 (UPI) -- The Washington-set investigative drama series "Bones" has been renewed for a 10th season, Fox announced.

"Over the course of nine seasons, 'Bones' has grown from a hit crime procedural into a beloved pillar of our lineup that resonates with fans in a way that only the best of shows can," Fox's Chairman of Entertainment Kevin Reilly said in a statement Wednesday.

"Our viewers have embraced Emily [Deschanel,] David [Boreanaz] and the entire cast and characters of 'Bones' as their very own, and I think they are going to love what [writer-producers] Hart Hanson and Stephen Nathan have planned for Season 10!"

The network also said it will move the series from Fridays back to Mondays as of March 10, TVGuide.com reported.
