'Modern Family,' 'Breaking Bad' win big at SAG Awards

LOS ANGELES, Jan. 18 (UPI) -- "Modern Family" and "Breaking Bad" won the Screen Actors Guild Awards for Best Comedy and Drama in Los Angeles Saturday night.

"Modern Family" standout Ty Burrell won the prize for Best Actor in a Comedy.

The Best Actress in a Comedy award went to Julia Louis-Dreyfus for "Veep."

Maggie Smith won the SAG Award for Best Actress in a Drama Series for "Downton Abbey" and Bryan Cranston scored the Best Actor in a Drama Series trophy for "Breaking Bad."

Helen Mirren earned the accolade for Best Actress in a TV Movie or Miniseries for her work in "Phil Spector."

Michael Douglas won the Best Actor in a TV Movie or Miniseries statuette for his performance in "Behind the Candelabra."
