NEW YORK, Dec. 30 (UPI) -- U.S. recording artists Mariah Carey and Blake Shelton are to perform on "New Year's Eve with Carson Daly," NBC announced Monday.

Jane Lynch is to serve as the program's co-host, with actress-comedian Natasha Leggero and actor Anthony Anderson appearing as guests.

The two-part special is to take place from New York's Times Square. It will air Tuesday at 10-11 p.m. ET/PT and 11:30 p.m.-12:30 a.m, breaking for NBC's 11 p.m. news broadcast.
