CNN's Erin Burnett gives birth to first child

NEW YORK, Dec. 1 (UPI) -- U.S. journalist Erin Burnett says she has given birth to her first child, a boy.

"Dave and I welcomed a healthy, happy baby boy at 9:47 p.m. Friday, Nov. 29," Burnett told People magazine. "He weighed in at 8 pounds, 10 ounces."

The 37-year-old host of CNN's "OutFront" married David Rubulotta, a managing director at Citigroup, in December. The couple announced the pregnancy in June.

"Seeing him for the first time was the most awe-inspiring, joyful moment of our lives," Burnett said.

The baby's name wasn't reported.
