Monty Python adds more dates for stage show

LONDON, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- The British comedy troupe Monty Python announced Monday its planned one-off stage show at London's O2 Arena will now be a five-night residency.

Tickets for the July 1 show at the 20,000-seat venue sold out within 43.5 seconds after it was announced last week, Variety.com reported Monday.

Surviving Pythons John Cleese, Eric Idle, Terry Gilliam, Michael Palin and Terry Jones have since agreed to perform nightly shows through July 5, the entertainment industry trade newspaper said.

Company member Graham Chapman died in 1989.
