Hugh Jackman to host D.C. Christmas special

WASHINGTON, Nov. 25 (UPI) -- Australian actor and entertainer Hugh Jackman is to host next month's "Christmas in Washington" television special, TNT announced.

The program will feature an appearance by NBA Hall of Famer and game analyst Charles Barkley, as well as performances by Backstreet Boys, Sheryl Crow, Anna Kendrick, Janelle Monae and Pat Monahan. The concert is to air Dec. 20 on the cable network.

"Celebrating its 32nd anniversary this year, 'Christmas in Washington' is a holiday tradition benefiting the Children's National Health System," TNT said in a release. "The concert is attended each year by the president and first lady, as well as many other Washington VIPs."

This will mark TNT's 15th year presenting "Christmas in Washington," which will be taped at the National Building Museum Dec. 15.
