EDGEWATER, Md., Oct. 29 (UPI) -- Actress Mia Farrow's brother, John Charles Villers-Farrow, was sentenced in a Maryland court to 10 years in prison for sexually abusing two boys.

Villers-Farrow, 67, was sentenced Monday in Anne Arundel Circuit Court, the Baltimore Sun reported.

He entered an Alford plea in July to two counts of sexual assault of a minor, acknowledging there was enough evidence for a conviction, but not admitting he was guilty of the crimes, the newspaper said.

Two young men approached police in 2012 and accused Villers-Farrow of abusing them, starting when they were about 10 and lasting for several years until 2007 or 2008 when they were in their mid-teens.

"These were not one-time offenses," Judge Laura S. Kiessling said at Villers-Farrow's sentencing. "This was crime after crime. This was day after day. This was month after month. This was year after year."

Mia and John are two of the seven children of Australian film director John Farrow and Irish actress Maureen O'Sullivan.
