LOS ANGELES, Oct. 22 (UPI) -- CeeLo Green Tuesday was free on $30,000 bond after appearing in a Los Angeles court on a charge of giving a woman ecstasy before sex, TMZ reported.

Green was arraigned Monday and pleaded not guilty before posting bond. He is due back in court next month, the celebrity news website said.

Prosecutors declined to charge Green with sexually assaulting the woman during the 2012 incident due to insufficient evidence.

The unidentified woman said "The Voice" coach drugged her without her knowledge, then had sex with her while she was intoxicated.

"We are pleased that the Los Angeles County District Attorney has completed its investigation and concluded that the evidence did not support the false and unfounded claims made over a year ago," Green's lawyer Blair Berk told TMZ, adding any sexual contact between the two was consensual.

"As it relates to the one charge of furnishing or sharing ecstasy, Mr. Green will responsibly address that matter in a court of law."
