Taye Diggs, Kathleen Robertson to star in TNT drama

LOS ANGELES, Sept. 19 (UPI) -- TNT announced Thursday it has ordered 10 episodes of "Murder in the First," a San Francisco-set drama series starring Taye Diggs and Kathleen Robertson.

Co-created by Steven Bochco and Eric Lodal, the show co-stars Tom Felton, Mimi Kirkland, Raphael Sbarge, Ian Anthony Dale, Bess Rous and Steven Weber.

Slated to premiere on TNT this summer, the show will follow a single case across an entire season.

"'Murder in the First' sets up an engrossing, season-long mystery that's certain to appeal to TNT fans," Michael Wright, president and head of programming for TNT, TBS and Turner Classic Movies, said in a statement. "We are thrilled to be working with Steven Bochco once again. We look forward to seeing this fascinating mystery unspool in the hands of Steven, Eric Lodal and the incredible cast and crew of 'Murder in the First.'"
