'Rizzoli & Isles' halts production after actor's death

LOS ANGELES, Aug. 20 (UPI) -- The police drama "Rizzoli & Isles" has halted production following the Los Angeles suicide of cast member Lee Thompson Young, TheWrap reported.

Young's body was discovered Monday after he failed to show up for work as scheduled.

The 29-year-old actor's publicist confirmed he took his own life. TMZ said he died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound.

TheWrap reported production on "Rizzoli & Isles" was shut down indefinitely while the cast and crew deal with Young's death and its impact on the show.

"Rizzoli & Isles" stars Angie Harmon and Sasha Alexander. It was recently renewed for a fifth season.
